Welcome to Malaga Camp

Welcome to Malaga Camp

Camp Meeting days…

…start with Family Altar at 8:00am in the Schull Memorial Chapel.  This half hour is a time of singing, prayer and a brief “thought for the day” brought by one of our members. Breakfast in the Dining Hall is at 8:30am.
Bible Hour is from 10:30-11:30am led by our evangelist for the week. The Children’s Hour is at the same time in the basement of the Guest House. Lunch is at 12:30pm.
The afternoon is free for relaxation and recreation!  The pool is available as well as the ballfield. People will often be found on porches relaxing, sharing time with friends, reading a good book or perhaps even catching a nap! Walking around camp is a good way to meet new or old friends and to share some uplifting and inspirational conversation! Dinner in the Dining Hall is at 5:30pm.
The Evening Service is at 7:00pm. There is a time of singing—usually some of the good old favorites as well as some of the new ones, sometimes accompanied by piano & organ and a few trumpeters or other musicians, or occasionally the song service is led by a local church’s praise and worship team. There is also special music shared by talented local singers or groups, an offering is taken and then the evangelist for the week shares the message from God’s Word which the Lord has laid on his heart for that day. “For we preach not ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord,” is our theme verse, and our preachers take that to heart. Holiness of heart and life is often a central focus.  After a summer of Malaga Camp services, you’ll return to your home church inspired and renewed and closer to the Lord.
Following the evening service, folks will often head down to the Ice Cream Store to share a snack or a visit to the Book Store or Auxiliary Gift Shop and more time with friends. Some will ease out the day on a front porch or relax in their cottage in front of the television. Whatever way a person finishes the day, they will undoubtedly discover that their spiritual life has been enriched and their walk with Christ is sweeter than it was before the day began.
